Colson Baker (or Machine Gun Kelly) is well-known for his unique style of rapping. Baker was born the 22nd of April, 1990 in Houston Texas U.S. into a family with English Scottish and German descent. His parents were missionaries, and during his initial years they traveled extensively together. James Colson Baker was depressed and was unemployed when Sonia Alane, his mother, left the family when Baker was only nine years old. Baker's father emigrated along with his son to Denver and the family lived at the home of his aunt. Baker had to endure bullying from fellow youngsters because of his poor status. When he was in sixth grade, he started to take rap music as a form of entertainment. Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22, 1990. The songs he composed are known as a blend of modern hip-hop and rock and alternative music. Baker released four mixtapes prior to joining Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. The Cleveland rapper who delivered songs at the speed that of a fast bullet saw an explosive rise when, at the end of 2011, Baker switched from self-released mixtapes to established labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper rocketed when the release of his first mixtape in late 2011.
